The “Author” – Don Silver – world traveler, entrepreneur, big thinker and writer of thought provoking articles. Being precocious in my youth, I finished high school and entered college at 17 and received a degree in engineering. After a four year adventure with the United States Air Force, I embarked on the “corporate journey” and found a home in the computer industry. While experiencing life from the bottom of the industry (hardware maintenance) up to the stratosphere (director’s office) and learning technology and management, I found another side-effect called “corporate downsizing” and even had to learn that lesson two years in succession. On to my own business adventures which included completing my MBA in management. When my wife to be, Karla, was in her search for her next income path she found an opportunity to work from “home” and we became business partners – and finally were married and are now life partners. Our business, for almost 6 years was with a company that produced world class media and world class educational products (personal development curriculum). We were part of the International leadership and training team and spent our days supporting our business, training business associates around the world, and assisting others in building their own businesses. When it was time to "move on" we chose different business opportunities. For the last two years we have lived our lives in a wonderful state of travel around the world as "Luxury Vagabonds" - we put our "stuff" into storage and have only what fits into the car. We have been in 10 countries and countless house, villas, haciendas, condos, apartments, hotels and almost any other type of dwelling. Laptops and computers and Internet telephones keep our businesses on track.
During our travels I have been able to take time out to “put pen to paper” (ok – I write on a computer). Some of my postings are included in this site.
